This guide shows you how to re-upload historical POS data for Circle K.

⬇️Carefully read our recommendations below for re-uploading historical data⬇️
When uploading Circle K historical data you can download full months. But the following two criteria are critical for your upload to be successful:
- The files must not exceed 20 MB as this is the limit for upload to effectmanager.
- The files must contain full weeks not to overwrite data.
🔴OBS! As week data is put on Sundays you must make sure to have FULL WEEKS in the file uploaded. If week data is in two different files it will be overwritten.
Effectmanager recommendations for re-uploading historical data
- We recommend 12-18 months of re-uploaded history.
- We recommend sending us a test file before uploading your historical data.
- You need to upload your files Wednesday to Friday and no more than 5 x 20MB files every half hour - this is not to overload the system, which can make your upload fail.
- You need to contact effectmanager before re-uploading your historical data. Then effectmanager will follow-up on the data being read into the cube successfully.

Procedure for downloading files for re-uploading historical data
🔴OBS! For week 01. If the first week of a year - week 01, is across two years the POS report from Circle K, will list days from week 01 as belonging to the previous year.
You MUST correct this manually by opening the CSV file in Notepad++ and make a search/replace for the year.
Example - Week 01 2020: is from 30/12/2019 - 05/01/2020.
Data from the days 30/12-31/12 2019 is listed as week 01 2019. But is in fact from week 01 2020.
To get data loaded correctly you must do a search for 2019 and replace it with 2020.
- Your Key Account Manager check that all products and categories are available in Circle K PowerBI.
- You can upload your historical Circle K files to the effectmanager Wednesday to Friday, to make sure not to overload the system.
- Please inform effectmanager before starting the re-upload of historical data.
- effectmanager will follow up on the historical data sent from Circle K.

Adding brands or products to your portfolio
If you have acquired a new brand or product, you need to contact Circle K and make sure that POS data is available in your PowerBI.
When download new POS reports from Circle K, you need to keep the following in mind:
Is your new brand or product active in the same category as you are today?
Yes: Download new sales-files with all products in the same file.
No: Download sales-files for your new brands or products.
