How to re-upload historical data for Coop Denmark

This guide shows you how to re-upload historical POS data for Coop Denmark.

Carefully read our recommendations below for re-uploading historical data.

  • We recommend 12-18 months of re-uploaded history. 
  • We recommend sending us a test file before uploading your historical data
  • You need to upload your files Wednesday - Friday and no more than 10 files every half hour - this is not to overload the system, which can make your upload fail. 
  • You need to contact effectmanager before re-uploading your historical data, so we can follow up on the data being read into the cube successfully.

Adding brands or products to your portfolio

When adding brands or products to your portfolio, you need to re-upload historical data for Coop to correct your data, for it to be useful for future analysis. 
Before you download your new POS files, you need to make sure that all your brands are included in your Coop DWH data. 

🔴OBS! If you are missing some brands/products in your POS data, please contact Coop DWH before downloading new POS files for effectmanager.

When exporting new POS reports from Coop DWH, you need to keep the following in mind:

Is your new brand or product active in the same category as you are today?

Yes: Download new sales-files and customer-files with all products in the same file.  

No: Download new sales-files, category-files, and customer-files with all products in the same file. 

Changing the period for Coop reports

1. Access your Coop DWH reports and select the report you want to export. 

2. Go to the key figure time and press the visible week in the box on the right-hand side. 

3. Deselect the week and select the week you want to export. 

4. Finish by pressing ok.

5. Run your report and export it. 

🔴OBS! Coop has a maximum export of 30.000 lines per report. It is most commonly the sales report that is too big. We recommend splitting it by Chains, Categories or date.
