This guide shows you how to manually create products in effectmanager front end with Master data, Chains, and Prices.
In effectmanager, a product consists of three essential elements that work together to define its attributes and functionalities:
1. Product Master Data: This is the core information that describes the product, including its name, category, brand, and any additional optional fields that may be necessary for specific data analysis, such as POS (Point of Sale) data categorization. This master data serves as the foundation for product management within the system.
2. Retail Chain Units: This element is relevant for users who have access to the promotion module. It involves linking the product to various retail chains where it will be sold, allowing for the management of product availability and promotional activities across different retailers.
3. Prices: Also pertinent only if the promotion module is utilized, this element encompasses the various pricing structures associated with the product. It includes cost pricing, billing pricing, and expected sales prices, among others, and is crucial for ensuring that the product is competitively priced in the market while allowing for effective promotion management.
Together, these three components form a comprehensive framework for product creation and management in effectmanager, ensuring that each product is accurately represented and effectively integrated within the retail ecosystem.
Products can be created directly in the effectmanager front end or by using an export/import Excel file.
To create a product with an export/import file, please see our guide How to manually create products - export file
