This guide shows you how to use the field Sales In when creating or editing promotions.
This guide is only of relevance if you have the promotion module in effectmanager.

Subsidy based on Sales In will only be calculated if selected when creating or editing promotions, You can input the expected sales to the chain during the promotion period in the field Sales In.
When a promotion is completed, you must input the actual Sales In to settle the promotion or have Sales In imported automatically from your ERP.

Sales In volumes will be visible on the customer reports Promotion Proposal Report and Promotion Result Report in the column Conf. sales in (pcs.) in the stages Planned and Confirmed and Actual sales in (pcs.) in the stage Completed.
It is important to mark your promotion as completed, so sales out is imported on the promotion. Various KPI calculations for your promotion finance uses sales out volumes.
NB! Remember that it is only for promotions that are marked as completed, that sales out will be updated automatically with the POS integration twice a week the night to Wednesday and Friday.

Adding Sales In on promotions
🔴OBS! If your Colli sizes are not equal to 1, read below carefully.
If you want to add Sales-In to promotions, you must be aware of the product hierarchy in Promotion Wizard and the Products tab in Promotion Editor.
See The Product Hierarchy for Sales In on Consumer units here or The Product Hierarchy for Sales In on Delivery Units here to make sure, that you input volumes correctly.
The Sales chart can be used to provide you with historic sales charts to better input your volumes when creating or editing a promotion. The Sales Chart shows both Sales In and Sales Out volumes in Sales Units. To see the Sales Chart, select the product and press Sales Chart.
Products Hierarchy for Sales In Consumer Units
👍Pro-tip: You can now select if you want to import Sales In on Consumer Units or on Units. This will affect the product hierarchy for Consumer Units and Units.

If you select to input your Sales In on Consumer Units, the product hierarchy will be as described below, for the different units in effectmanager.
🔴OBS! Sales In on Consumer Unit is the default setting in effectmanager.
Product hierarchy for Consumer Units: Consumer unit is at the top level, and Colli Unit is at the lowest level. You must add the Sales In volumes in Consumer Units at the top level. Effectmanager will calculate the volumes to the numbers of Delivery units on the lowest level. The lowest level is blocked for adding of Sales In Volumes.
You can select to input your Sales In volumes on the Colli Unit level, go to the paragraphe explaining the product hierarchy here.
See the example below, with the product Orange & Mango Energy 0,2L with Colli size 2. Adding 20 Consumer Units is calculated to 10 Colli.
Product hierarchy for Colli Units: The consumer unit is at the top level, and Colli Unit is at the lowest level. You must add the Sales In volumes in Consumer Units at the top level. Effectmanager will calculate the volumes to the numbers of Delivery units on the lowest level. The lowest level is blocked for adding of Sales In Volumes.
You can select to input your Sales In volumes on the Colli Unit level, go to the paragraphe explaining the product hierarchy here.
See the example in the video below, with the product Colli Orange & Mango Energy Colli size 12. Adding 24 Consumer Units on the top level is calculated to 2 Colli on the lowest level.
Product hierarchy for Pallet Units: The consumer unit is at the top level, and the Delivery (Pallet) Unit is at the lowest level. You must add the Sales in volumes in Consumer Units at the top level. Effectmanager will calculate the volumes to the number of Delivery Units on the lowest level. The lowest level is blocked for adding Sales In volumes.
See the example below, with the Pallet Unit Cherry & Strawberry palle with Colli size 1.000. Adding 2.000 Consumer Units to the promotion calculates it to 2 Pallet Delivery Units.
Product hierarchy for Mix-Units (Mix-pallet / Mix Colli): Mix-Unit is at the top level, and the consumer unit is the lowest level. You must add Sales In volumes in Delivery Units for Mix-Units. Effectmanager will calculate the volumes for each unit on the Mix-Pallet based on the Colli size of the units on the Mix-Unit.
See the example below, with the Mix-Pallet Cherry/Orange/Natural 1,5l mix palle. Adding 1 Mix-Pallet to the promotion will add the Colli size to the lowest level of the different units on the Mix-Pallet.
NB! The Product Hierarchy is the same for all Mix Units. It is not affected by your setting for inputting Sales In.
Products Hierarchy for Sales In Delivery Units

Product hierarchy for Pallet Units: The Pallet Unit is at the top level, and the Consumer Unit is at the lowest level. You must add the Sales In volumes at the top level in Delivery (Pallet) Units. Effectmanager will calculate it to the numbers of consumer units.
See the example below, with the Pallet Unit Cherry & Strawberry palle with Colli size 1.000. Adding 2 pallets to the promotion on the top-level calculates it to 2.000 Consumer Units.
Product hierarchy for Mix-Units (Mix-pallet / Mix Colli): Mix-Unit is at the top level, and the consumer unit is at the lowest level. You must add Sales In volumes in Delivery Units for Mix-Units. Effectmanager will calculate the volumes for each unit on the Mix-Pallet based on the Colli size of the units on the Mix-Unit.
See the example below, with the Mix-Pallet Cherry/Orange/Natural 1,5l mix palle. Adding 1 Mix-Pallet to the promotion will add the Colli size to the lowest level of the different units on the Mix-Pallet.
NB! The Product Hierarchy is the same for all Mix Units. It is not affected by your setting for inputting Sales In.
